We believe that the financial reporting process is a collaborative opportunity to provide constructive solutions to potential problem areas and to maximize your company’s potential. We strive to deliver efficient and accurate reports while adhering to our profession’s code of ethics and maintaining objectivity.
The assurance services we provide include:
Financial Statement Audits of Nonpublic Companies, Nonprofit Organizations, and Governmental Entities
Our risk-based approach to auditing requires that we obtain an in-depth understanding of the organization. The audit is tailored to the specific company’s needs and objectives. We maintain the hours of Continuing Professional Education required to perform audits in accordance with government auditing standards.
Financial Statement Reviews of Nonpublic Companies
We express limited assurance that there are no material modifications that should be made to the financial statements. A review consists principally of inquiries of company personnel and analytical procedures applied to financial data.
Financial Statement Compilations of Nonpublic Companies
A compilation is limited to presenting information that is the representation of management in the form of financial statements. We do not express any degree of assurance on the statements.
Employee Benefit Plan Audits
We have experience in performing audits of defined contribution plans (typically 401K plans). This area is highly regulated and through our extensive training, we can provide accurate reports that are in compliance with Department of Labor and GAAP regulations.
Financial Statement Preparation Engagements
Many of our clients find that their accounting staff members are extremely capable of day-to-day operations such as processing receivables, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining a general ledger, but they lack the sophistication to prepare full disclosure financial statements in accordance with GAAP. New standards now allow us to perform preparation engagements whereby we work in tandem with your accounting staff to prepare accurate and timely statements.
Agreed Upon Procedure Engagements
We follow the standards set forth by the AICPA for conducting an agreed-upon engagement which can include forecasts, projections, or other engagements that do not require complete audit of financial statements.
SSAE 18 Engagements
We provide SSAE 18 audits to service organizations of varying sizes in New York and across the United States. Our experience is mostly with debt collection agencies requiring SOC 2 reports, however, we are expertly trained in SOC 1 and SOC 3 engagements as well. Through our unique collaboration with Hampton Pryor Group, we are able to bundle our services and provide you a more comprehensive approach to your compliance needs.
Peer Review Engagements
If you are a CPA firm that is required to have a peer review in accordance with AICPA guidelines, we are registered and may be qualified to perform your review. Samuel M. Bronsky, CPA is a certified Team Captain and can be added to any review team as a SOC Specialist.
Bankruptcy Accounting and Reporting
As a business owner, filing for bankruptcy can be overwhelming and includes monthly financial reporting requirements. We have experience in preparing these reports and working with businesses to keep records intact and accurate.
