In 1989, Sam founded Bronsky and Company, CPAs with a commitment to client relationships and communication.  He believes that having a personal connection with all of the firm’s clients and being available to meet or speak with them as needed is vital to the firm’s success.

As the founder of Bronsky and Company, Sam is responsible for the execution of overall firm leadership and strategy. Sam performs all of the service organization control reporting engagements for the firm and has become an expert in the debt collection industry mainly due to his performance of these SSAE 16 engagements.  He is certified to perform peer reviews and is extremely active on the Peer Review Committee for the NYS Society of CPAs.  In addition, he oversees the tax department and reviews all accounting and auditing engagements the firm performs.

KATHLEEN M. BECKER, CPA

Kathy worked for the largest public accounting firm in Buffalo, NY for over 6 years, where she was a financial auditor and became a specialist in Asset-Based Lending (ABL) field examination services. Kathy joined the Company in 2003 and established the ABL Department for Bronsky and Company.

Under Kathy’s leadership, our ABL department became a well-known, national provider of ABL Field Examinations and the department grew to several full time positions. As a result of the department’s success, in 2008 the ABL department was separated from the traditional side of the firm’s accounting practice and Bronsky and Company, LLC was formed. At that time, Kathy was named a partner in the new company.

From the LLC’s inception through July 2016, Kathy was the managing partner of Bronsky and Company, LLC and was responsible for scheduling exams, fostering client relationships, supervising staff, performing exams, and reviewing all exams before they were released to our lender customers. Subsequent to July 2016, Kathy continues to perform field exams and is sharing management responsibilities with David K. Hanley.

David is a consulting and transaction due diligence professional with over 25 years’ experience in public accounting, providing transaction due diligence, consulting and audit services to clients. David’s areas of expertise include merger and acquisition and asset based lending due diligence, forensic accounting services, business interruption insurance claim services, and profitability analysis. He has experience in various industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, natural resources and metals, distribution, retail, and healthcare. David is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the consulting team, including new business development, developing policies, training programs, manuals, working templates, and reporting formats for various clients incorporating their requirements and industry standards.

Jen joined the firm as a Senior Accountant in 2008. She now serves as the primary client contact for attestation engagements and is responsible for the overall planning, supervision, and completion of those engagements. Jen’s areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, annual financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations of nonpublic entities, compliance testing of internal accounting control systems, and year end bookkeeping and tax preparation for corporate tax clients.

Field Examination Manager

Dan began his career as a Field Examiner with Bronsky and Company in 2007. Dan performs field examinations and delivers comprehensive analysis of accounts receivable and inventory and the evaluation of the financial performance of various organizations as an integral part of the asset based lending process. He meets the different reporting requirements of multiple asset-based lenders and takes personal responsibility in expanding his knowledge and specialization. Dan is responsible for training new hires within the ABL department.

Larry joined the firm in 2015 and brought 54 years of public accounting experience with him, including experience as a partner in a regional CPA firm in WNY. His focus is on individual, estate, and trust taxation, along with tax and estate planning. Larry is also licensed for Series 7 investments. He prides himself on the personal attention he gives his clients.

Cross-Border Taxation Specialist

Jim was a partner in the largest public accounting firm in Buffalo, NY for over 30 years. Jim came to our firm in June 2016 with a specialization in cross-border taxation for corporations and individuals. His career includes serving on the faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo as a tax instructor, as well as a panelist for the CPA/Bar Association Tax Institute and as a guest speaker for various local talk shows. Jim has represented hundreds of Canadian businesses operating in the United States and has participated in New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) presentations to explain US taxes to Canadian business owners. Most recently, he authored a booklet entitled, A 60-Minute Practical Guide for Canadian Businesses Expanding to the United States.
